Description
As the State Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of investigators, ensuring effective and timely resolution of Motor Third-Party (TP) claims and fraud cases. Your expertise in data analytics and police liaison will be instrumental in developing strategies to identify and mitigate fraud risks, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the Fraud Investigation Unit.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of TP investigators, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective investigations.
- Oversee the entire Motor TP investigation process, from initial claim assessment to final resolution.
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to identify patterns and trends in fraud activities, enhancing the accuracy and speed of investigations.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with law enforcement agencies, acting as the primary point of contact for police liaison activities.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of ethical conduct throughout investigations.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and detect fraud, staying updated on emerging fraud trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Claims and Legal, to ensure a coordinated approach to fraud management.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay informed about industry developments and best practices, attending relevant conferences and training programs.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Criminal Justice, Law, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud investigation, with a focus on Motor TP claims.
- Proven expertise in data analytics and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Solid leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and engaging teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the North Region as required.
- Proficiency in using investigative software and tools, including data analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks pertaining to fraud investigation.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a methodical approach to investigations.
- A commitment to ethical conduct and maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
