About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and
detail-oriented Senior Database Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and
performance of our database systems, ensuring high availability and consistent
performance to support our healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

● Database Design & Implementation: Design
and implement database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures
to support application development and data integrity.

● Performance Tuning: Monitor database
performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization.

● Security & Compliance: Implement and
maintain database security measures, ensuring compliance with healthcare
regulations and data privacy laws.

● Backup & Recovery: Develop and manage
backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.

● Collaboration: Work closely with development
and operations teams to integrate database solutions into application
workflows.

● Documentation: Maintain comprehensive
documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to developers and
other technical staff.

Requirements

● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Computer Science,



Information Technology, or a related field.

● Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience
in database administration, with a focus on high-availability environments.

● Technical Skills:

○ Proficiency in database
technologies such as NOSQL, SQL Server, MySQL.

○ Experience with database
programming languages like SQL, PL/SQL..

○ Familiarity with cloud-based
database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).

○ Experience reviewing SQL queries
in API functions

○ Experience doing unit testing of
SQL queries used across the application and providing sign-off for production
deployment

○ Knowledge of database security
best practices and compliance standards.

○ Experience with performance tuning
and optimization techniques.

● Soft Skills:

○ Strong analytical and
problem-solving abilities.

○ Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.

○ Ability to work independently and
as part of a team.

○ Attention to detail and a
commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

● Certifications such as Microsoft
Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or AWS Certified Database –
Specialty.

● Experience in the healthcare
industry or with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools related to
database deployment and management.
