Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer (QE) with 5-8 years of experience in software quality engineering and testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, UI Automation, and CI/CD, with a focus on building scalable automation solutions and driving quality across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and quality gates for releases.
- Design and execute manual, functional, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks across API and UI layers.
- Perform API validation including request/response validation, authentication, and data integrity.
- Develop and execute UI automation tests using modern automation frameworks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Perform defect analysis, root cause analysis, and prepare quality reports.
- Collaborate with development, product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure shift-left quality practices.
- Mentor team members and promote Quality Engineering best practices.
- Contribute to improving test coverage, automation efficiency, scalability, and overall product quality.

Required Skills

Manual Testing

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Expertise in test case design, execution, and defect management.
- Experience in functional, regression, end-to-end,



and exploratory testing.

API Testing & Automation

- Hands-on experience with Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML validation, authentication, and data validation.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with Karate is preferred.

UI Automation

- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
- Experience in developing and maintaining reusable automation frameworks.

CI/CD & Tools

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Xray, or similar test management and defect tracking tools.
- Good understanding of Git and source code management.
- Exposure to AI-based testing or AI tools is an added advantage.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing.
- Solid hands-on experience in automation, API testing, and UI testing.
