We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive the design and development of next-generation gaming hardware for leading global gaming manufacturers.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8-10 years of experience in designing complex electro-mechanical products. Experience in Gaming, Electronic Gaming Machines (EGM), Self-Service Kiosks, ATMs, Industrial Equipment, or Consumer Electronics is highly preferred.
You will lead the complete mechanical product development lifecycle-from concept and design through validation and production release-while ensuring product quality, reliability, manufacturability, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization. This role requires close collaboration with Industrial Design, Electrical, Embedded, Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, and Supply Chain teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in
Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree is an advantage.
- Relevant Experience with Game Development.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
A.Product Design & Development
1. Lead
the mechanical design and development of gaming cabinets, gaming
terminals, button decks, topper assemblies, and integrated
electro-mechanical systems.
2. Convert
industrial design concepts into manufacturable, production-ready
solutions.
3. Develop
detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and
technical specifications.
4. Perform
GD&T; (ASME Y14.5), tolerance stack-up analysis, and dimensional
validation.
5. Design
durable products for continuous 24/7 Gaming operations.
B.Electronics Integration & Compliance
1. Integrate
displays, touch panels, audio systems, lighting, power supplies, cable
harnesses, printers, bill validators, card readers, and cooling systems
into mechanical assemblies.
2. Support
compliance with GLI-11, GLI-12, NGCB, UL, CE, FCC, RoHS, ESD, and
anti-tamper requirements, including certification documentation.
C.New Product Introduction (NPI)
1. Lead
mechanical engineering activities throughout the NPI lifecycle, including
Concept, EVT, DVT, PVT, Pilot Build, Production Ramp, and Sustaining
Engineering.
2. Participate
in design reviews, engineering changes, and production readiness
activities.
D.Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering
1. Perform
basic FEA to validate structural integrity and optimize material
selection, weight, and product performance.
2. Apply
DFM, DFA, and DFS principles to improve manufacturability, assembly
efficiency, serviceability, and product cost.
3. Support
manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, plastic
injection molding, die casting, CNC machining,
and fabricated assemblies.
4. Collaborate
with suppliers to improve tooling, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
E.Validation & Reliability
1. Develop
and support Design Verification Testing (DVT), including thermal,
vibration, fatigue, lifecycle, environmental, and structural testing.
2. Investigate
field failures using Root Cause Analysis and implement design
improvements.
F.Product Lifecycle & Collaboration
1. Manage
engineering documentation, BOMs, ECOs, ECNs, and product configurations
within PLM/PDM systems.
2. Collaborate
with cross-functional teams including Industrial Design, Electrical,
Embedded Software, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement,
Compliance, and Program Management.
3. Mentor
junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
