Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Health Safety Setting Officer. The Health Safety Environment Officer will be responsible for ensuring the organization complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. The officer will coordinate and manage health and safety programs, conduct audits and inspections, and investigate accidents and incidents. The position also involves developing effective strategies and training employees on safety measures.
Responsibilities
To develop Managers' awareness and ensure HSE is an integral part of Line Management responsibilities and objectives.
To assist Line Management in:
Understanding and Implementing the HSE Management System
Liaising with and provide advice with regards to HSE matters
Generating local HSE procedures, work instructions and checklists as required.
Monitoring compliance to policies, standards and procedures.
Plan and assist in compliance audits and self-audits (HSE MS, HSE and Segment standards).
Ensure inspections and risk / impacts assessments are carried out on a regular basis.
Support accident prevention programs. Specific areas of focus will be the higher risk aspects of the site activities, lifting operations, dropped objects prevention, control of work and working at height.
To coordinate and actively participate in the screening and HSE training of all personnel, including contractors.
To keep abreast of any new documentation and training material related to HSE and to inform management accordingly.
