Position Title: TRADE FINANCE SPECIALIST

Major Responsibilities

- Review, advise on, and process letters of credit, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of credit both on Import and Export transactions.
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and banks to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth negotiations.
- Ensuring clean negotiations of export letters of credit, proactively advising on potential discrepancies and suggestions for mitigating the same.
- Negotiating cost of funding with different banks for export LCs.
- Initiating internal approvals for import/export LCs.
- Handle and process documentary collections, ensuring accurate presentation of shipping and financial/commercial documents.
- Provide guidance to clients on the collection process and address any discrepancies.
- Bank Facility Utilization and Management: Optimize the interest/bank charges by carefully analyzing the available credit lines with the banks/treasury and utilizing them.
- Assess and manage risks associated with trade, including currency exposures, forex risks, and credit risks.
- Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies such as hedging requirements wherever necessary.




- Evaluate and recommend appropriate financing options to meet the working capital needs of the company.
- Stay updated on international trade regulations / INCO terms and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that trade transactions adhere to legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, suppliers, and customers.
- Oversee and verify trade-related documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Provide expert advice to commercial teams on trade finance products, services, and best practices.
- Generate reports on trade finance activities, trends, and performance metrics.
- Analyze to identify areas for process improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:

- Graduate in Commerce / Finance
- At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience in Trade Finance Management / LCs
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft suite of products (particularly Excel).
- Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills
- A self-starter, able to work under pressure in a constantly changing setting.

- Fluent English, any other languages a plus
