Role Purpose

Lead and manage end-to-end production of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are consistently achieved. Drive operational excellence across module/pack assembly, container integration, and testing.

Key Responsibilities1.

Production

Planning & Execution
Develop and execute production plans aligned with demand forecasts and project timelines
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials
Monitor daily/weekly/monthly production KPIs (output, efficiency, downtime)
Manufacturing

Operations (BESS)
Oversee assembly processes including:
Battery module/pack assembly
Rack integration
Containerized BESS assembly
Electrical integration (PCS, BMS, HVAC, fire systems)
Ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions
Quality & Compliance
Ensure products meet internal and customer quality standards
Implement in-process quality checks and final inspection protocols
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions




Ensure compliance with standards like IEC, UL, ISO
Safety & EHS
Enforce strict safety protocols, especially for lithium-ion battery handling
Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and statutory norms
Conduct regular safety audits and trainings
Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop production teams (engineers, supervisors, operators)
Drive performance management and skill development
Manage shift planning and workforce allocation
Continuous

Improvement
Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives
Improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize wastage
Drive automation and digitalization initiatives (MES, IoT)
Cross-functional Coordination
Work closely with:
Supply Chain (material availability)
Quality (inspection & audits)
Engineering (process improvements, NPI)
Projects (customer delivery timelines)
