MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
10–15+ years of Property Facultative Reinsurance underwriting experience.
Robust experience underwriting large, complex industrial & commercial Property risks.
Hands-on experience in risk assessment, pricing, CAT exposure and accumulation management.
Strong broker/cedant relationships with experience independently negotiating and making underwriting decisions.

ABOUT THE CLIENT A leading South African insurance and reinsurance group with a strong international presence. The company is expanding its reinsurance operations in India through GIFT City, Gandhinagar, and is building a senior underwriting team to support growth across the Indian and international markets.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Underwrite complex Property Facultative Reinsurance risks in line with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
Assess large industrial and commercial property risks, including CAT exposure, loss history and risk quality.
Handle pricing, capacity, terms, conditions and structuring of facultative solutions.




Build relationships and negotiate with brokers, cedants and reinsurance intermediaries.
Monitor portfolio profitability, exposure and accumulation.
Contribute to portfolio growth, underwriting strategy and market development.
Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level underwriters.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Graduate degree in Engineering, Commerce, Finance, Insurance or a related field.
10–15+ years of experience in Property / Property Facultative Reinsurance.
Robust experience in large and complex Property risk underwriting.
FIII, ACII, CPCU or equivalent qualification would be an advantage.

Industry Target: Reinsurance companies / Global reinsurers / International insurers / Lloyd’s market with solid exposure to Property Facultative Reinsurance.
