## What youu2019ll do:nnThe primary responsibility of Lead Engineer - Embedded Firmware will be to lead the technical development of Embedded Software for various product developments by effectively leveraging Agile best practices. In this role,he/she will functionally report to the Chief Engineers Office Head in EIIC and will be responsible for system-level requirements analysis, architecture, design, development and other team development processes. The person will support building innovation in embedded system architecture for product differentiation. Contribution of this role will bring competitive advantage of EATON products in market. nSuccess in this position requires the ability to drive and standardize embedded software design and development across business unit, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn new techniques and development processes. Understand top level product requirement and create more detail sub-system requirements to meet top level product requirement n2\. Define software architecture to meet customer / product requirement n3\. Understand hardware circuit u2013 Analog Circuits, Digital Electronics, Embedded hardware circuits and Power Electronics n4\. Evaluate system performance requirements and model future requirements to identify and mitigate risks. Collaborate with the hardware team to support development and testing. n5\. Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment n6\. Stage work and delegate appropriate aspects of design and implementation to other developers, ensuring compliance with architecture and systems/design requirements n7\. Lead complex system interface design activities and lead the resolution of integration issues across multiple engineering disciplines n8\.
Collaborate with product owners/Managers, functional managers, systems engineering to distill product/system/design requirements/use cases to firmware designs/stories, size stories, developing module u0026 system level code, and unit tests n9\. Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software for Embedded devices n10\. Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources n11\. Mentor other engineers and Review code and design n12\. Lead technical discussion and design reviews with vendors and cross-function groups n13\. Support test and validation plan created in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. n14\. Comply with Development Process n15\. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders e.g. vendors, customers, Product Marketing etc. n16\. Identify and leverage recent technologies to enhance product features, improve quality/efficiency/collaboration. n17\. Participate in DevOps for embedded software delivery by extending Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for one or more software release streams per product family n18\.
