Key Responsibilities
Design and develop industrial valves and valve components using SolidWorks.
Create 3D part models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
Design and modify valve components based on customer requirements and specifications.
Work on different types of valves such as Ball, Gate, Globe, Butterfly, Check and Plug Valves.
Prepare GA drawings, component drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs.
Apply GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, surface finish and engineering standards.
Perform design calculations related to pressure rating, temperature rating, material selection and valve sizing, as applicable.
Select suitable materials based on pressure, temperature, service conditions and application requirements.
Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, assembly, inspection and testing.
Review existing designs and implement design modifications and improvements.
Work with manufacturing, quality, procurement and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Support prototype development, testing, validation and troubleshooting.




Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, BOMs and revision history.
Handle ECR/ECN and engineering change activities.
Ensure designs comply with applicable API, ASME, ISO and customer-specific standards.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical solutions for complex design/manufacturing issues.

Mandatory Skills
5+ years of Mechanical Design experience
Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks
Solid experience in Valve Design / Valve Development
Experience with industrial/process valves
Good knowledge of Ball, Gate, Globe, Butterfly, Check and/or Plug Valves
Robust knowledge of 3D modelling, assembly and detailing
Valuable knowledge of GD&T;
Experience in GA and manufacturing drawings
Experience in BOM preparation
Knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes
Experience in design calculations and engineering specifications
