Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and store sheet metal raw material (coils, sheets), consumables, and tooling (dies, punches, blades)
Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers
Issue material and tooling to operators against job cards
Coordinate with the Purchase/Supply Chain team for reordering before stock runs low
Support the Sheet Metal Supervisor with tooling management and machine changeover needs
Conduct periodic stock verification and cycle counts
Follow proper storage practices (FIFO) and prevent damage, wastage, or loss
Maintain documentation accurate enough to hold up under a quality or compliance audit
We're Looking For
ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification; relevant experience also considered
Prior stores/inventory experience, ideally in a sheet metal or fabrication setting
Basic computer skills — comfortable with Excel or inventory software
Solid attention to detail
Honesty and reliability with inventory records — this matters more in this role than most. Stock discrepancies are easy to hide and hard to catch late; we're looking for someone who reports a shortage or a mistake the day it happens, not the day it's discovered.
Physically able to handle stock movement and warehouse work
