Job Title: Assistant Manager – Surveillance (Audit)

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: Manager – Surveillance / Head – Internal Audit

Job Purpose:

To ensure operational integrity, prevent revenue leakages, and maintain process compliance across Café Coffee Day outlets and regions through regular surveillance audits, data analysis, and field investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct surveillance audits (CCTV and system-based) to identify operational gaps, pilferage, or non-compliance at café outlets.

· Review POS data, cash transactions, discounts, and wastage reports to detect anomalies or fraudulent activities.

· Apply strategies based on multiple data sets & shortlist samples for investigation & surveillance monitoring.

· Develop formal & informal information systems in the operating setting & check pilferages thru thorough surveillance investigations.

· To deep-dive into the system to find out route cause & suggest the remedies.

· Perform mystery audits or surprise checks across outlets to on need basis.

· Collaborate with the Operations, Finance, and HR teams to drive process improvements and corrective actions.





· Prepare audit reports highlighting key findings, root causes, and actionable recommendations.

· Support investigations into reported incidents of theft, misuse, or malpractice.

· Ensure timely closure of audit observations and follow-up actions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

· Solid analytical and observation skills

· Attention to detail and integrity

· Valuable knowledge of MS Excel, POS data analysis, and CCTV monitoring

· Excellent communication and report writing skills

· Understanding of QSR / Retail industry operations

· Ability to handle confidential information sensitively

Qualification & Experience:

· Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field

· 3–6 years of experience in retail/QSR audit, surveillance, or operations control

· Experience in CCTV audit analysis or fraud detection preferred

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

· Timely completion of surveillance audits

· Reduction in operational losses and fraud cases

· Compliance adherence rate improvement

· Accuracy and quality of audit reports
