We are looking for a proactive and people-oriented HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR activities across recruitment, employee onboarding, HR operations, employee engagement, performance management, payroll coordination, and compliance.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, interacting with employees at all levels, and taking ownership of HR processes in a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Understand manpower requirements from different departments.
- Prepare and post job descriptions on hiring platforms.
- Source, screen, and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Manage offer discussions and salary negotiations.
- Coordinate the joining and onboarding process.
Employee Onboarding & HR Operations
- Complete employee documentation and maintain personnel records.
- Conduct employee induction and orientation.
- Maintain attendance, leave, and employee databases.
- Issue HR letters such as offer letters, appointment letters, experience letters, etc.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Handle day-to-day employee HR queries.
Payroll & Compliance
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with the accounts/payroll team.
- Ensure attendance, leave, incentives, deductions, and other payroll inputs are accurate.
- Coordinate PF, ESI, Professional Tax and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Maintain required HR and compliance documentation.
Employee Engagement & Relations
- Address employee concerns and grievances professionally.
- Organize employee engagement activities.
- Support a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Assist management in resolving employee-related issues.
Performance Management
- Coordinate probation confirmations and performance reviews.
- Support the appraisal process.
- Maintain performance-related documentation.
- Follow up with managers regarding employee performance and goals.
Exit Management
- Handle resignation and exit processes.
- Conduct exit interviews where required.
- Coordinate clearance and full & final settlement.
- Issue relieving and experience letters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant HR experience.
- Good understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience with recruitment and hiring.
- Working knowledge of payroll and statutory compliance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
Preferred
- MBA/PGDM/Graduate in Human Resources is preferred.
- Experience working in a startup, SME, or growing organization.
- Experience handling multiple HR functions independently.
- Familiarity with HRMS/HR software.
- Experience recruitment platforms.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is hands-on and execution-oriented, rather than someone who has worked only on one HR function.
The candidate should be capable of taking ownership of the employee lifecycle from hiring onboarding employee management payroll coordination performance exit.
