Role & responsibilities

- Knowledge of Safety, Health and Setting Systems and certifications
- Knowledge of HSE related Regulatory norms governing the Real Estate Industry,Knowledge of Real Estate construction process

- Lead the development and implementation of a HSE framework and Safety Manual for Sattva; periodically update the same through continuous inspections and market scanning
- Provide functional guidance to ensure standardization of HSE practices across regions
- Represent Sattva at various meets / conferences on HSE issues and project the accomplishments
- Lead the process of acquiring various HSE certifications and accreditations for Sattva. Ensure HSE processes are upgraded to meet international standards

- Liaise with Government Authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and for associated inspections at the project sites
- Conduct regular inspections at all project sites to ensure compliance to statutory requirements and organizational HSE standards
- Continuously monitor and inspect pollution levels at the project sites; manage and ensure effluents (solid, liquid and gas) are within prescribed statutory limits
- Work closely with the contractors to ensure adherence to statutory safety requirements by all contract labour; conduct periodic workshops at project sites to spread HSE awareness
- Ensure effective dissemination of information pertaining to risk free work practices. Identify potential risk and accident areas and ensure proper display of the same at all sites
- Work closely with all internal departments to conduct mandatory safety committee meetings on a regular basis
- Oversee fact-finding investigations in case of accidents and advise project heads on remedial action plans




- Review and analyze accident investigation reports and monthly statistical reports; recommend action plans to the projects team to prevent recurrence of such accidents
- Liaise with the Administration Department to ensure maintenance and upkeep of Safety related equipments as per norms
- Take corrective action in case of non compliance highlighted in the Quality Audit reports
- Survey the environment to keep abreast of trends and best practices in HSE policies and processes; Develop appropriate strategies to incorporate the same in Sattva
- Educate and train the Site Team for adherence to HSE norms and compliances
- Plan and conduct periodic workshops at project sites to spread awareness of HSE policies and processes
- Maintain a database of all HSE notifications, inspection documents, certifications and other related documentation
- Maintain timely MIS with respect to detailed HSE and other compliance related status of all Project

- Minimize cost escalations due to penalties/ fines levied due to non compliance to Quality and HSE requirements
- Minimize cost escalations due to non-adherence to quality standards
- Provide inputs in formulation of departmental budget and ensure adherence to the same

- Foster an environment of learning, excellence and innovation within all aspects of team work
- Undertake performance management for self
- Adhere to training calendar for self and take initiatives to develop self capabilities

Preferred candidate profile

Should have experience in QA/QC, HSE as a minimum of 4 yrs

BE is preferable, Diploma holders can also apply, if you have a strong experience.
