Role & responsibilities

Safety Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
Implement company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked to closure.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Hazard Identification.
Identify potential risks associated with machinery, electrical systems, chemicals, working at height, confined spaces, material handling, and other plant activities.
Recommend appropriate engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented safety controls.

Incident & Accident Management
Investigate accidents, near misses, unsafe occurrences, and property damage incidents.
Prepare incident investigation reports and identify root causes.
Recommend corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.




Maintain safety incident and accident records.

Safety Training & Awareness
Conduct safety induction training for recent employees, contractors, and visitors.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness programs.
Provide training on PPE, emergency response, fire safety, machine safety, chemical handling, and protected work practices.
Promote employee participation in safety improvement initiatives.

Emergency Preparedness
Develop and maintain emergency response procedures.
Support fire drills, emergency evacuation drills, and mock drills.
Inspect fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, alarms, emergency exits, and other emergency equipment.
Coordinate with emergency response teams during incidents.

Plant & Machinery Safety
Monitor machine guarding and ensure safety devices are properly installed and maintained.
Ensure secure operating procedures are followed for production equipment.
Monitor Lockout
