Role & responsibilities
Expertise in C / C++ and Python programming
Develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software components for robotics platform computers.
Hands on experience with microcontrollers like STM32, ATMEL and ARM
Communication protocols / bus architectures such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485
EtherCAT master implementation on Linux
IgH EtherCAT Master, SOEM, acontis EC-Master, or equivalent
EtherCAT CoE, PDO, SDO and Distributed Clocks
Sensor interfacing
Inter-processor communication
RTOS (Threads, Multitasking)
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and software configuration management.
Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
Preferred candidate profile
Extensive experience in embedded development with expertise in Embedded C programming language.
Solid understanding of 32-bit microcontrollers and their peripherals (e.g., ADCs, Timers, Interrupts, Communication).
Proficiency in developing device drivers for various communication protocols like CAN Bus, Ethernet, SPI, Modbus TCP/IP, fieldbus systems (EtherCAT)
