Job Summary

The New Product Development (NPD) Manager is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing recent products from concept to commercial launch, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that new products meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct market research and identify new product prospects.
Develop product concepts based on customer needs, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, production, quality, and sales teams during product development.
Prepare product specifications, costing, BOM (Bill of Materials), and launch plans.
Manage prototype development, testing, validation, and product improvement.
Work with vendors and suppliers for new materials and components.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety norms.
Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time product launches.




Analyze product performance after launch and recommend improvements.
Maintain product documentation and development records.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
MBA / PGDM in Marketing or Operations is preferred.

Experience
5–10 years of experience in product development, R&D;, or engineering.
Experience in appliances, furniture, home décor, consumer electronics, or manufacturing industry preferred.

CAD/design understanding (preferred).
