Position: Process Engineering Manager (Machining)

Job Summary
The Process Engineering Manager (Machining) is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing machining processes in alignment with RFQs and customer requirements. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes from concept through production launch, with a robust focus on aerospace standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze RFQs to develop machining process strategies, including cycle time estimation, tooling selection, and cost optimization.
Review customer drawings, GD&T;, and technical specifications to define manufacturing requirements.
Prepare detailed part specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and process routing.
Conduct and document FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate risks.
Develop, standardize, and release machining processes, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with Execution, Quality, NPD,
and Production teams for smooth product development and launch.
Optimise machining processes for productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Support shop floor troubleshooting and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
Evaluate and implement current machining technologies, tools, and methods.
Domain Expertise Required
Robust understanding of product lifecycle, including machining, heat treatment, special processes, assembly, and packaging standards.
Experience in supplier qualification, technical assessment, and process validation.
Hands-on experience with aerospace standards such as AMS, BAC, and requirements from major OEMs
Ability to create and manage technical documents, including material specifications and approved alternatives.
Familiarity with customer portals and systems such as Exostar, HAPS, etc.
Experience with CATIA model conversi
