Role & responsibilities
Receive incoming raw materials, bought-out items, consumables, and finished goods.
Verify materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
Ensure proper identification, storage, preservation, and handling of inventory.
Issue materials to production as per approved Material Requisition Slips (MRS).
Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/software and physical registers.
Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchase department for replenishment.
Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
Ensure proper documentation of inward and outward material movement.
Coordinate with production, quality, and dispatch departments for smooth material flow.
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the store area.
Identify slow-moving, non-moving,
and obsolete inventory and submit periodic reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory procedures, and audit requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records and documentation.
Preferred candidate profile
Knowledge of inventory management and store operations.
Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, or similar).
Understanding of GRN, MRS, stock reconciliation, and inventory control.
Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
Robust organisational and record-keeping skills.
Positive communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Basic understanding of valve manufacturing components and engineering materials is preferred
