Job Description

The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control panels and related electrical systems. The role involves preparing electrical drawings, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Panel Design
Design LT control panels, PCC, MCC, IMCC, APFC, and other electrical control panels.
Prepare electrical schematics, power and control circuit diagrams.
Develop General Arrangement (GA) and panel layout drawings.
Ensure designs comply with approved technical specifications and applicable standards.
Select appropriate electrical components based on load, rating,



application, and customer requirements.
Drawing Preparation
Prepare and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
Develop:
Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
GA Drawings
Panel Layout Drawings
Power Wiring Diagrams
Control Wiring Diagrams
Terminal Plans
Cable Schedules
Interconnection Drawings
Component Layouts
Maintain proper drawing numbering, revisions, and documentation.
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Prepare accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) based on approved drawings.
Calculate material and component quantities.
Verify component specifications, ratings, and quantities.
Coordinate with the Purchase, Estimation, Procurement, and Production teams for material requirements.
