The Assistant Manager – HRBP will serve as the strategic HR partner for the plant operations, driving key people initiatives while ensuring compliance and fostering a positive work environment. The role demands hands-on experience in industrial relations, statutory compliance, and employee engagement in a manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the HR Business Partner for the plant, working closely with functional and operational leaders to align people strategies with business goals.
- Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary procedures in a fair and timely manner.
- Oversee end-to-end contract labor management, including onboarding, compliance checks, and contractor coordination.
- Manage union interactions and support negotiations to maintain a harmonious and collaborative work culture.
- Lead initiatives around performance management, employee engagement,
learning and development, and retention.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws including the Factories Act, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Drive audits, internal reviews, and statutory reporting in alignment with compliance norms.
Candidate Profile
- Solid experience as an HRBP or Plant HR professional in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Knowledge of labor laws, statutory regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage challenging situations with integrity.
