Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Surveillance Engineer with a strong background in Upstream Oil & Gas operations, specifically within onshore assets. This role is critical to ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency across production facilities by leveraging real-time data monitoring, process optimization, and engineering analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PI System/PI Vision, process surveillance, and artificial lift systems, with a proven track record in identifying operational inefficiencies and delivering data-driven solutions. With a focus on continuous improvement and compliance with engineering standards, this position plays a pivotal role in supporting asset integrity and production reliability. Candidates with experience supporting international clients such as Exxon, Shell, or Chevron are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct real-time process surveillance and monitoring of onshore oil & gas facilities, focusing on well pads and separation systems
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps, and deliver preventive and corrective recommendations
- Lead process optimization initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve asset reliability
- Utilize PI System and PI Vision for data visualization, alarm management, and performance tracking
- Support implementation of Artificial Lift and Gas Lift systems, including performance evaluation and troubleshooting
- Perform process engineering calculations, including PSV sizing, pipeline design, and multiphase flow simulation
- Participate in Alarms Analysis and Rationalization to improve control system effectiveness
- Manage changes through formal Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Interpret and work with P&IDs;, engineering drawings, and markups to support engineering and operational decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering (Mandatory)
- 7-12 years of total experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, with a minimum of 2-3 years in operations followed by process engineering roles
- Proven experience in onshore oil & gas assets, particularly well pads and separation facilities
- Hands-on expertise with PI System and PI Vision for data monitoring and visualization
- Robust understanding of Artificial Lift and Gas Lift methods and their operational application
- Experience in process surveillance, optimization, and operational data analysis
- Familiarity with process engineering calculations, PSV sizing, and pipeline/multiphase flow simulation
- Knowledge of Alarms Analysis, Rationalization, and Management of Change (MOC) procedures
- Solid understanding of engineering standards and experience working with P&IDs; and technical drawings
- Prior exposure to US-based oil & gas assets is preferred
- Experience supporting international clients such as Exxon, Shell, Chevron, or similar is highly advantageous
