Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, age -appropriate yoga and mindfulness sessions for students across different grade levels (Grades 1–10).
- Incorporate breathing techniques (pranayama), gentle asanas, relaxation practices, and yoga storytelling to support emotional regulation and concentration.
- Collaborate with teachers and school counselors to align yoga programs with student needs and school wellness goals.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages participation and self -expression.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Yoga, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Yoga for Children (e.g., Yoga Alliance’s RYT 200 with child yoga specialization or equivalent).
- 2–5 years of experience teaching yoga to children in school or educational settings.
- Strong understanding of child development, emotional intelligence, and trauma -sensitive practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and physical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with integrating yoga into academic or extracurricular curricula.
- Knowledge of Indian classical yoga traditions and modern wellness frameworks.
- Familiarity with school policies, child protection standards, and inclusive education practices.
