THE ROLE

To act as Orbital Enterprises' authorised representative at the works, inspecting every stage of manufacture of high masts, octagonal and decorative poles. The following are critical and carry mandatory clearance authority:

• Welding inspection

• Galvanizing inspection

• Pre-dispatch final inspection

• Preparation of packing list before dispatch

Also responsible for raw material inspection against IS 2062 / IS 1079, raising Non-Conformance Reports, coordination with third-party inspection agencies (RITES, TUV, SGS, Bureau Veritas), and daily reporting with photographs to Head Office, Recent Delhi.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, minimum 5 years' experience

• Sound working knowledge of welding inspection, hot-dip galvanizing and IS 2062 / IS 2629 / IS 4759





• ASNT / ISNT NDT Level II certification preferred; prior third-party or client-side inspection experience an advantage

• Fluency in Hindi and English essential — coordination with Head Office, Recent Delhi in Hindi; all daily reporting to be written in English

• Able to read GA and fabrication drawings

• Must be proficient on laptop — MS Excel, MS Word, email and digital photo reporting. Daily reports are to be prepared and transmitted to Head Office by the candidate himself

• Candidates from Hooghly, Serampore, Chandannagar, Howrah and Kolkata preferred
