Job Summary
We are looking for an FEA Engineer experience in the Aerospace domain, with hands-on experience in Altair HyperMesh, MSC Nastran and MSC Patran. The candidate should have a solid understanding of finite element modelling, meshing, structural mechanics, load and boundary condition definition, solver execution and post-processing.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on aircraft structures, aerospace components, UAV/drone structures or similar mechanical structures and should be capable of independently handling FEA activities from model preparation through analysis, result interpretation and technical reporting.
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop FEA models for aerospace/aircraft structures and components using HyperMesh and Patran.
Perform 2D and 3D meshing using shell and solid elements while maintaining required element quality.
Define material properties, element properties, contacts, connections, loads and boundary conditions.
Set up and perform structural analyses using MSC Nastran, including linear static and modal analysis.
Perform buckling, frequency response, random vibration, shock and fatigue analyses based on project requirements.
Create, review and troubleshoot Nastran input decks and solver outputs.
Perform post-processing using Patran/HyperView and evaluate stress, strain, displacement, reaction forces and mode shapes.
Work on FEA of aircraft structural components, brackets, fittings, frames, panels, mounts and UAV/drone structures.
Review CAD models, drawings and engineering requirements and convert them into appropriate FEA models.
Perform FE model quality checks, including mesh quality, connectivity, property assignment, loads and boundary conditions.
Interpret analysis results, identify critical locations and provide appropriate engineering recommendations.
Support result validation/correlation and address analysis-related issues.
Solid hands-on experience with HyperMesh, Nastran and Patran is e
