Role Description
The Senior Backend Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for designing and owning backend architecture for complex, scalable systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. Day-to-day tasks include defining technical standards, reviewing and improving existing backend services, guiding the implementation of APIs and integrations, and collaborating with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.



The architect will create technical documentation, conduct code and design reviews, mentor engineering teams, and proactively address architectural risks and technical debt. The role also involves evaluating recent technologies, recommending best-fit solutions, and supporting long-term platform evolution aligned with business goals.

Qualifications
- Strong backend architecture and design skills, including experience with microservices, distributed systems, and API-driven platforms.
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Node.js, Python) and associated frameworks.
- Solid understanding of databases and data storage (SQL and NoSQL), including schema design, optimization, and scalability.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and CI/CD tooling.
