Position: Design Engineering Intern

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Design Engineering Intern to join our UAV R&D; team. The intern will support the design and development of drone frames, mechanical components, payload systems, and other UAV assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in 3D CAD modelling and mechanical design of UAV components and assemblies.
Create and modify 2D drawings, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation.
Develop drone frames, arms, mounts, brackets, payload mechanisms, and other mechanical parts.
Support prototype development, assembly, testing, and design improvements.
Take measurements of existing components and create accurate CAD models.
Assist in DFM/DFA and component optimization for manufacturing.
Collaborate with R&D;, electronics, manufacturing, and testing teams.
Maintain CAD files, BOMs, drawings, and revision records.
Support engineering calculations and basic design analysis when required.
Preferred Software Skills
Mandatory / Preferred:
Siemens NX CAD – Preferred
SolidWorks – Preferred
AutoCAD – Valuable to have
Basic knowledge of ANSYS / FEA – Valuable to have
Required Technical Skills
Basic understanding of Engineering Drawing and GD&T;
Knowledge of mechanical design principles
Basic understanding of materials such as Aluminium, Carbon Fiber, FRP, and engineering plastics
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal, 3D printing, and composite manufacturing
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
Positive problem-solving and analytical skills
Educational Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
Mechanical Engineering
Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Automobile Engineering
