Role Summary

Application & Database Architect
will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing
end‑to‑end application and database architecture
with a solid focus on
GCP AlloyDB PostgreSQL
.

This role demands deep expertise in
distributed PostgreSQL systems

performance engineering

cloud‑native architectures
, ensuring highly scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions aligned with business and enterprise standards.

The architect will act as a
technical authority
, driving application modernization, cloud migration, and database optimization for
high throughput, low latency, and high availability systems
deployed across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities
Application Architecture
- Define end‑to‑end application architecture across UI, services, integration, and data layers
- Design microservices‑based, event‑driven, API‑first architectures
- Review and govern application designs, frameworks,



and coding standards
- Guide teams on non‑functional requirements: scalability, performance, security, reliability
- Lead application modernization and cloud migration initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and tools
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, DevOps, and security standards

Database & Data Architecture
- Design, enhance, and maintain multi‑region AlloyDB PostgreSQL clusters on GCP
- Architect for high availability, failover, and cross‑region replication
- Optimize read/write distribution, latency, and throughput across regions
- Perform deep AlloyDB/PostgreSQL performance tuning
- Diagnose complex production issues such as:
- Idle transactions
- Long‑running queries
- Subtransaction overhead and lock contention
- Analyze and optimize queries using EXPLAIN / ANALYZE
- Fine‑tune PostgreSQL/AlloyDB parameters for:
- Parallel query execution
- CPU and memory utilization
- High
