The Senior Accounts Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting day-to-day accounting and finance activities, ensuring accurate accounting records, timely reconciliations, statutory compliance, vendor/customer coordination and preparation of financial and MIS reports.
The role requires solid coordination with internal departments, vendors, customers, banks, auditors and external consultants to ensure smooth and timely completion of accounting activities.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Accounting Operations
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries.
- Verify invoices, vouchers and supporting documents before accounting.
- Maintain accurate ledgers and accounting records.
- Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Ensure proper accounting of expenses, provisions and accruals.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of accounts.
- Support preparation and finalisation of financial statements.
B. Reconciliation & Control
- Prepare and review Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Perform customer, vendor and general ledger reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve outstanding and unreconciled items.
- Reconcile GST input/output balances with books and available GST data.
- Monitor advances, outstanding receivables and payables.
- Ensure proper documentation and accounting controls.
C. GST & TDS Compliance
- Prepare data and working for GST returns and coordinate with consultants for timely filing.
- Verify GST applicability, input tax credit and tax-related entries.
- Prepare TDS workings and ensure correct deduction as applicable.
- Coordinate for timely TDS payment, returns and reconciliation.
