Job Summary:

The Maintenance Incharge is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the hospital, ensuring that medical and non-medical equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely. The role requires prior experience in a hospital or healthcare facility to maintain compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily maintenance activities of hospital infrastructure including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, biomedical support, and civil works
Ensure uninterrupted functioning of critical hospital systems such as oxygen supply, DG sets, UPS, lifts, and fire safety systems
Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
Coordinate with biomedical team for maintenance of medical equipment
Ensure compliance with safety standards, NABH guidelines, and statutory regulations
Handle vendor management for AMC/CMC contracts and service providers
Monitor and control maintenance costs and inventory of spare parts




Supervise maintenance staff, assign duties, and ensure timely task completion
Maintain proper documentation, logs, and reports of maintenance activities
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot issues

Eligibility Criteria:
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in hospital maintenance (mandatory)
Knowledge of hospital systems like medical gas pipeline, HVAC, electrical panels, etc.
Familiarity with NABH/JCI standards is preferred
