Job Description – Part-Time Psychology Teacher

Position: Psychology Teacher – Part-Time
Department: Senior Secondary
Location: Begur
Reports To: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Role Summary:
To plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons for senior secondary students, support academic progress, and encourage students to understand psychological concepts through practical examples, discussions, and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver Psychology lessons as per the prescribed curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, activities, assignments, and assessments.
Use interactive and student-centred teaching methods.
Explain psychological theories and concepts using real-life examples and case studies.
Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
Support students in projects, research work, and examination preparation.
Maintain attendance, academic records, and student progress reports.
Identify students who require additional academic support and provide guidance.
Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.




Coordinate with the Academic Coordinator and other teachers.
Participate in PTMs, academic meetings, and relevant school activities when required.
Follow school policies, child safeguarding guidelines, and professional standards.

Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Psychology / Applied Psychology / Counselling Psychology.
B.Ed. preferred.
Prior school-level Psychology teaching experience preferred.

Experience:
2–5 years of teaching experience preferred; experience teaching Grades 11–12 will be an advantage.
