Seeking an experienced Data Migration Tester to validate and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data migrated from legacy systems to target applications. The ideal candidate will have robust SQL queries skills, database, and data validation skills, with experience in end-to-end data migration projects.
Data Migration Testing
- Understand business and migration requirements, source-to-target mapping documents, and data transformation rules.
- Design and execute data migration test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Validate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity after migration.
- Perform source-to-target data reconciliation and verification.
- Verify data transformation, cleansing, and enrichment rules.
Test Execution & Defect Management
- Execute migration validation, system integration, and user acceptance testing support activities.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects through closure.
- Analyze data discrepancies and collaborate with development and ETL teams for resolution.
- Conduct regression testing following migration fixes.
Database Validation
- Create and execute complex SQL queries to validate migrated data.
- Perform data profiling and data quality assessments.
- Compare source and target database records, ensuring field-level accuracy.
- Validate referential integrity and business rule compliance.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare test cases and execution reports.
- Provide migration testing status updates to stakeholders.
- Document defects, test evidence, and migration outcomes.
- Support go-live readiness reviews and post-migration validation.
