Role & responsibilities
To supervise and control the fabrication activities of heavy vessels, pressure vessels, tanks, and large fabricated equipment, ensuring production targets, dimensional accuracy, quality, safety, and delivery schedules are achieved in accordance with approved drawings, codes, and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise fabrication activities for heavy vessels and large fabricated equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, weld maps, WPS/PQR, and manufacturing specifications.
- Coordinate fabrication activities including plate cutting, rolling, fit-up, welding, assembly, nozzle fitment, support fabrication, and final dimensional inspection.
- Ensure fabrication is carried out as per approved drawings, ITPs, WPS, applicable codes, and customer requirements.
- Monitor fabrication sequences and ensure optimum
Preferred candidate profile
BE/BTECH (MECH)/DME with 5 to 10 years exp in heavy fabrications
- experience in heavy fabrication.
- Strong experience in pressure vessels, process vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, storage tanks, or heavy engineering equipment.
- Experience in a large fabrication shop or EPC/manufacturing workplace preferred.
- MNC experience will be an advantage.
