A Purchase and Costing professional in the sheet metal industry manages raw material procurement , vendor development, and precise cost estimation for fabrication, press parts, and tooling to achieve cost-effective production. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts, analyzing market trends, and maintaining BOMs.

Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Sourcing: Procure raw materials (HR, CR, GP, GI sheets), hardware, and industrial materials while managing vendor relationships.
- Costing & Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for sheet metal components, press parts, and assemblies, including material, process, and tooling costs.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers; negotiate annual rate contracts to ensure cost savings.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overstocking or stockouts, aligning with production schedules.
- Value Engineering: Drive cost reduction initiatives (VA/VE) and analyze BOM (Bill of Materials)



for cost-effective manufacturing.
- Technical Analysis: Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and blueprints to understand material requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Experience in molding, sheet metal fabrication, automotive components, or press shops is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, painting), tool manufacturing, and material grades.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP systems
- Negotiation Skills: Solid abilities to negotiate price, terms, and delivery with suppliers.
- Education: Typically a BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
