Strategic Procurement
- Receive and consolidate packing material requirements from multiple LL locations.
- Coordinate with PPIC and Production for requirement planning and delivery schedules.
- Identify critical and urgent material requirements and take proactive action.
- Ensure procurement plans are aligned with production schedules.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders within defined timelines.
- Obtain quotations and conduct commercial comparison.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, MOQ, lead time and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with vendors from order placement until final delivery.
- Monitor open POs and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate resolution of shortages, delays and supply issues.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Evaluate vendor capability, capacity, lead time and commercial competitiveness.
- Develop alternate sources for critical packing materials.
- Monitor supplier performance through delivery, quality and service parameters.
- Maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Conduct price benchmarking and market analysis.
- Identify alternate materials/vendors wherever technically and commercially feasible.
LL Location Coordination
- Act as the central procurement contact for assigned LL locations.
- Maintain regular communication with LL stakeholders.
- Track location-wise requirements, open orders, dispatches and pending deliveries.
- Ensure timely escalation of potential supply risks.
- Maintain appropriate backup and documentation for each LL location.
Required Qualifications
Essential: Graduate in any discipline.
Preferred:
- MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain / Procurement / Materials Management.
- Degree/Diploma in Packaging or related field would be an added advantage.
Experience
4-6 years of relevant experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry, with exposure to packing materials and multi-location procurement.
