About the Role

Dalhousie Public School, New Chandigarh, is looking for a passionate, experienced and academically solid Cambridge IGCSE English Teacher to join its growing international curriculum team. The ideal candidate will have a solid command of the English language and a student centred approach to teaching. The role involves delivering engaging and rigorous English lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, while developing students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, structured and age-appropriate Cambridge IGCSE English lessons.
Develop students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Teach students to analyse literary and non-literary texts critically and effectively.




Develop students' vocabulary, grammar, communication and academic writing skills.
Encourage independent thinking, creativity, discussion and confident expression.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, assignments, assessments and revision material in accordance with Cambridge requirements.
Familiarize students with the Cambridge IGCSE assessment objectives, examination format and marking criteria.
Prepare students effectively for IGCSE examinations through regular practice, feedback and targeted intervention.
Use a variety of teaching methodologies, including discussions, presentations, debates, cooperative learning and technology-enabled learning.
Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
Provide constructive and timely feedback to students and guide them on areas for improvement.
