About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary child development team. The role involves assessment and intervention for children with speech, language, communication, and related developmental difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding assessments where appropriate.
Develop individualized, functional therapy goals based on each child’s developmental profile.
Provide evidence-based speech and language intervention for children with:
Speech and language delay
Late talking
Autism spectrum disorder
Developmental delay
Articulation and phonological disorders
Social communication difficulties
Fluency disorders
Learning difficulties
Other neurodevelopmental conditions
Use developmentally appropriate and child-centred therapy approaches.
Incorporate parent/caregiver training and home-based strategies into intervention.
Maintain detailed therapy records, progress notes, goals, and outcome measures.
Regularly review and modify therapy goals based on the child’s progress.
Collaborate with the developmental pediatrician, occupational therapist, special educator, psychologist, and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding therapy goals, progress, and recommendations.
Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary reviews when required.
