About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Barista to join our team at Bombay Island Coffee Company. The ideal candidate should have strong coffee-making skills, good knowledge of café operations, and the ability to lead and support junior baristas while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages, including hot and cold coffee.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Ensure consistency in coffee taste, presentation, and portion standards.
- Perform espresso extraction, grinding, dosing, tamping, and milk steaming correctly.
- Train and guide junior baristas and new team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar and equipment.
- Follow café recipes, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Monitor coffee,



milk, syrups, and other bar inventory and report shortages.
- Handle customer requests and provide excellent customer service.
- Support daily café opening and closing procedures.
- Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service team for smooth café operations.
- Maintain grooming and hygiene standards as per company policy.

Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Barista, preferably in a specialty coffee shop, café, or premium QSR.
- Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee-making techniques.
- Valuable understanding of coffee beans, grind size, extraction, and milk texturing.
- Ability to operate commercial coffee machines and grinders.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise junior staff.
