Job Description
- Conduct physical verification of pledged gold ornaments to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
- Verify the quantity, weight, quality, and purity of gold against system records and loan documents.
- Inspect gold-backed financial transactions to identify discrepancies and prevent fraud.
- Verify cash and foreign currency against system records as required.
- Review gold loan documentation and identify irregularities or missing information.
- Ensure compliance with lending policies and institutional guidelines for gold acceptance.
- Verify that only eligible and acceptable solid gold ornaments are pledged as collateral.
- Identify and report overdue, low-purity, and spurious gold loan accounts.
- Monitor and report discrepancies between physical assets and system records.
- Update and maintain gold purity indices as required.
- Participate in gold auctions and related operational activities.
- Conduct special inspections of branches and report findings to management.
- Assist in identifying operational and compliance risks related to gold loans.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Train and guide branch staff on gold inspection procedures and best practices.
- Support the organization in maintaining robust risk management and operational controls.
