OneHaul is a next-generation logistics SaaS platform, built to be the Shopify for Logistics. Backed by Eagle Inbrit, we are building a scalable platform to digitize freight forwarding and simplify global logistics operations.
You will join the early engineering team and get the opportunity to build products and systems from the ground up.
The Role
We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer who has strong fundamentals, enjoys solving problems, and wants to build production-grade backend systems.
Role & responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and business logic.
- Build scalable and modular services using Python or Ruby.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and write efficient queries.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Debug issues and contribute to performance and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Use AI tools effectively to improve development productivity and code quality.
Preferred candidate profile:
- 12 years of backend development experience; strong freshers may also apply.
- Good understanding of Python and core backend concepts.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, databases, OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with Git, debugging, testing, and API tools such as Postman.
- Strong problem-solving and learning ability.
- Ownership mindset and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Valuable to Have
- FastAPI experience.
- Redis, background jobs, queues, or asynchronous processing.
- Cloud/AWS exposure.
- SaaS or B2B product experience.
- Experience integrating or building solutions using AI/LLMs.
Note: This is a work-from-office role in Mumbai. Candidates already based in Mumbai will be preferred from a practical standpoint.
