Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Locomotive, Railway, Rail Cabin or Metro design to join our engineering team in Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of locomotive / railway / metro mechanical components and assemblies.
- Experience in rail cabin / interior / exterior mechanical design.
- Perform 3D modeling, 2D drafting, detailing and assembly design.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings and design documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, quality and safety requirements.
- Support design modifications,
engineering changes and issue resolution.
Required Skills
- 8–12 years of relevant Mechanical Design experience.
- Strong experience in Locomotive / Railway / Rail Cabin / Metro projects.
- Hands-on experience in 3D CAD, 2D drafting and mechanical detailing.
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Experience working with engineering/manufacturing teams.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Rail / Locomotive OEM or engineering projects.
- Experience in rail cabin/interior/exterior mechanical design.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period are highly preferred.
