Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production / Factory Manager to take complete ownership of factory operations for heavy fabrication and engineering manufacturing.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end production, planning, manpower, quality, safety, productivity, maintenance coordination, cost control and timely dispatch. The ideal candidate should be a hands-on factory leader with robust practical knowledge of heavy fabrication and shop-floor execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day factory and production operations.
- Plan and execute production as per project priorities and delivery schedules.
- Prepare production schedules, work-Centre loading plans and daily/weekly/monthly targets.
- Coordinate with Projects, Planning, Design, Purchase, Stores, QA/QC, Maintenance, HR and Logistics.




- Ensure availability of drawings, BOMs, materials, consumables, tools and manpower before production.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
- Manage cutting, forming, fit-up, welding, machining, assembly, inspection, surface treatment, packing and dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, QAPs and customer requirements.
- Control rework, rejection, weld defects and material wastage.
- Manage supervisors, production engineers, welders, fitters, fabricators, operators and contract manpower.
- Ensure proper manpower deployment and improve shop-floor productivity.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of cranes, welding machines, cutting machines, compressors, rolling/bending machines and other equipment.
- Ensure safe working practices for welding, gas cutting, lifting, cranes, working at height and material handling.
