Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for students across assigned classes.
- Teach vocal and/or instrumental music, including basic music theory, rhythm, notation, and performance techniques.
- Develop students’ musical skills, creativity, confidence, and appreciation for music.
- Prepare students for school assemblies, annual functions, competitions, cultural events, and other performances.
- Organise and conduct music activities, rehearsals, choir groups, and instrumental ensembles.
- Identify and nurture students with musical talent and provide appropriate guidance for their development.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and the school management for events and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain and responsibly manage musical instruments and other music-related resources.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Music or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. is preferred/mandatory as per school requirements.
- Formal training in vocal or instrumental music from a recognised institution will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Experience in handling school performances, choir, cultural programmes, and competitions will be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music.
- Positive communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage students of different age groups.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and patient approach towards teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate school events.
- Knowledge of contemporary as well as Indian/classical music will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
