The Assistant Manager - Quality Management System role supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) within a manufacturing environment. The position plays a key part in conducting internal audits, analysing quality data, strengthening quality control (QC) practices, and fostering a strong quality culture across departments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements
- Analyse quality data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Apply quality control methods, including the 7 QC tools and 8D problem-solving methodology
- Plan and conduct internal audits in line with applicable quality standards
- Apply an understanding of manufacturing processes to support quality management activities
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with different departments on quality-related matters
- Prepare reports and improvement proposals for top management
- Provide leadership and contribute to fostering a solid quality culture across the organisation
Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry, particularly within automotive manufacturing or press stamping
- Practical knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, the 7 QC tools, and 8D problem-solving methodology
