Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Purchase Officer to manage day-to-day procurement activities for our automobile dealership. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, maintaining purchase records, and ensuring timely availability of required items at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle procurement of stationery, office supplies, housekeeping materials, workshop consumables, body shop requirements, accessories and other dealership requirements.
- Identify and develop reliable local and regional vendors/suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates and finalize purchases.
- Ensure purchases are made at the best possible price, quality and delivery terms.
- Coordinate with Accounts, Workshop, Body Shop, Sales, Admin and other departments to understand their requirements.
- Raise and maintain Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation.
- Track pending orders and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Verify received material against purchase orders,



quantity and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper records of quotations, purchase orders, invoices and vendor details.
- Monitor stock levels of regularly used consumables and initiate timely replenishment.
- Develop alternative vendors to ensure cost efficiency and uninterrupted supply.
- Resolve issues related to shortages, damaged materials, incorrect supplies and vendor payments in coordination with relevant departments.
- Regularly review vendor performance, pricing and service quality.
- Support management with purchase reports, cost comparisons and procurement data.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline; B.Com / BBA / Supply Chain / Procurement qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in an automobile dealership, workshop, body shop or automotive industry.
- Valuable knowledge of local suppliers and market rates will be an advantage.
