Role & responsibilities:
- Support the UAE audit team in planning and executing audit engagements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain audit working papers and audit files.
- Perform audit procedures including substantive testing, analytical procedures, account verification, and reconciliations.
- Review general ledgers, trial balances, financial statements, schedules, and supporting documents.
- Assist in the preparation and finalization of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Ensure audit documentation complies with ISA requirements and internal audit methodology.
- Identify accounting, audit, and financial reporting issues and communicate them to the UAE engagement team.
- Assist in reviewing internal controls and identifying control weaknesses and audit risks.
- Prepare audit queries and follow up with the UAE team/client for required information and supporting documents.
- Support the preparation of audit reports, management letters, and other engagement deliverables.
- Perform financial analysis and investigate unusual or material fluctuations in accounts.
- Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and qualified standards while handling client financial information.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of audit processes and accounting principles
- Good attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- CA Qualified or CA Intermediate
