The R&D; Executive supports the development of new paint formulations and improvement of existing products.
This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing results, and
collaborating with QC and production teams to ensure innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of paint chemistry, formulation technology, industrial/protective coatings and paint testing, with the ability to independently execute R&D; projects.
Role & responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments to develop and refine paint formulations.
- Test raw materials and additives for suitability in product development
- Record and analyze experimental data, maintaining accurate lab documentation
- Collaborate with QC and production teams to ensure smooth scale-up of lab-developed products
- Assist in developing cost-effective & durable formulations
- Support in preparing technical reports and product specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new raw materials, and technologies
- Ensure compliance with ISO and company standards during R&D; activities.
- Maintain lab safety and proper handling of chemicals.
- Lead R&D; projects to develop new paint products and improve existing formulations.
Preferred candidate profile :
- R&D; Executive / R&D; Chemist with 4- 7 years of hands-on experience in Paint R&D;, Paint Formulation, Coatings Development and New Product Development.
- Solid knowledge of paint chemistry and formulation techniques. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with lab instruments and testing equipment.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of pigments, resins/binders, solvents, additives, fillers, paint chemistry and coating performance testing.
- Experienced in working with QC and Production teams for product validation, batch trials and commercialization.
