Purchase Executive

Experience

1–2 years
of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the
automobile, robotics, engineering, fabrication, or machining industry
.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably
Mechanical, Chemical, or Mechatronics Engineering
.
Candidates with relevant procurement experience in engineering industries will be preferred.

Job Summary

We are looking for a
Purchase Executive
to manage day-to-day procurement activities for engineering, robotics, machining, and fabrication requirements. The candidate should have a positive understanding of the
end-to-end procurement process
, robust negotiation skills, and sound commercial knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement of
machined components, fabricated parts, mechanical components, electrical items, hydraulic and pneumatic components, raw materials, consumables, and other engineering items
.
Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers and develop a reliable vendor base.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.




Negotiate
price, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality, warranty, and other commercial terms
.
Prepare and process
Purchase Orders (POs)
based on approved requirements.
Follow up with vendors to ensure
on-time delivery
as per project and production requirements.
Coordinate with
Engineering, Production, Projects, Stores, Quality, and Accounts
teams for procurement-related activities.
Review technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, and RFQs to ensure the correct items are procured.
Evaluate vendor quotations from both
technical and commercial perspectives
.
Maintain proper procurement records, vendor details, quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders.
Support vendor development, supplier evaluation, and performance monitoring.
Identify prospects for
cost reduction and value engineering
through alternate vendors, materials, and commercial negotiations.
