Assistant Manager HR & Admin

Location: Santej, Ahmedanad - Manufacturing Plant

Department: Human Resources & Administration

Job Purpose

To manage and support day-to-day HR and administrative operations at the manufacturing plant, ensuring effective manpower management, employee engagement, statutory compliance, discipline, welfare, and smooth plant administration.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Manpower Management
Manage end-to-end HR operations for plant employees, including recruitment, onboarding, transfers, promotions, and separation.
Coordinate manpower planning and deployment in coordination with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments.
Monitor attendance, absenteeism, overtime, shift schedules, leave, and manpower availability.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Support workforce productivity and employee retention initiatives.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate recruitment of operators, technicians, staff, and other plant-level positions.
Work with recruitment agencies, consultants,



and local sources for manpower requirements.
Conduct preliminary screening and coordinate interviews with functional heads.
Manage joining formalities, documentation, induction, and plant orientation.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and day-to-day employee relations.
Maintain effective communication with employees, supervisors, and shop-floor teams.
Support employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, celebrations, and recognition programs.
Assist in resolving shop-floor HR issues while maintaining a positive work workplace.
Support management in maintaining discipline and adherence to company policies.
Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
Coordinate statutory records, registers, returns, licenses, and inspections.
