Job Title: Nursing Superintendent

Experience: 3-6 years in nursing, with supervisory/managerial experience preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the overall nursing department and nursing staff.
- Ensure quality, safe, and compassionate patient care across all departments.
- Prepare and manage nursing duty rosters, shifts, leave schedules, and staff deployment.
- Monitor nursing staff performance, attendance, discipline, and skilled conduct.
- Ensure adequate staffing and proper allocation of nursing personnel according to patient workload.
- Coordinate with doctors, consultants, administration, and other hospital departments.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Conduct regular rounds and monitor nursing care, documentation, and patient records.
- Ensure proper administration of medications, treatments,



and nursing procedures as per hospital protocols and physician instructions.
- Monitor availability and appropriate use of nursing supplies, equipment, and emergency items.
- Identify training needs and organize orientation, in-service education, and skill-development programs for nursing staff.
- Handle patient and attendant concerns related to nursing services and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain and review nursing reports, registers, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Participate in audits, quality-improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, and hospital inspections.
- Ensure proper implementation of infection prevention and control measures.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, code/emergency response, and disaster-management activities.
- Promote teamwork, professional ethics, and a positive working workplace within the nursing department.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by hospital management.
